About ARTS

Meetings: ARTS holds monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm. All ham's regardless of membership status are welcome to attend. The meetings are held in the Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church at the corner of SW 9th Street and Leland Ave. Please Note: From time to time we have special functions that cause our meeting location and/or time to change. Please listen to the Sunday Evening ARTS net for information on the next meeting.

ARTS Net: ARTS holds it's net every Sunday evening at 2100 CST on the 146.82- CITS club repeater.

Field Day: ARTS holds it's field day at Big Creek State Park each year. Big Creek State Park is located north of Des Moines near Polk City.

APRS: Many ARTS members are active on APRS for a variety of tasks including weather spotting. Several of the Des Moines area Digipeaters and I-Gates are operated by ARTS members.

ARRL Affiliation: Arts is a ARRL affiliated club!

Annual Auction: ARTS holds an auction each year at the community center in Sheldalh, IA. This event typically replaces the March meeting.

Hamcake Tailgate: ARTS holds an annual pancake breakfast and flea-market tailgate in August at the community center in Sheldalh, IA. This event typically replaces the August meeting.
